I'm Laura. I’m a muralist and a creative neuroscientist and I want to bring more joy to our daily lives.

I crave bright colours (and after a Scottish winter they feel more necessary than ever), and I love the outdoors, and the shapes of leaves (especially when they overlap with the sun shining through behind them).

I discovered my delight in painting walls when I recreated some gorgeous but expensive floral wallpaper with a few tester pots of paint. As soon as I finished that project (it took a while!) we had to move house so I started with a lovely new set of blank walls to cover with fantastical foliage. Then other people started seeing my murals and commissioning me, and the Brights Walls Club began.

There's a wonderful feeling in transforming an overlooked corner or blank space into something bright and joyous. This website should give you an idea of my work, but every mural is unique and starts with working out exactly what you envision for your space, and what would make your walls more joyful.
